Mana Food Carbondale, Co

Conscious Living Starts with Local Food

Honored in many spiritual traditions, “Mana” is a touchstone of integrity, energy and organizing tendency for health and vitality.

Why “Mana”

The Sattvic principle of eating closest to your food chain is one of our main health tenets.

The idea comes from the original macrobiotic tradition of eating what is in season in your bioregion for optimal health

Roots Run Deep: Meet Our Farming Family That Nourishes Us.

We supply over 70 local vendors providing the highest quality and healthiest food.

We are grateful to all the farmers over the years for their support and dedication in participating in our effort of changing the Food Paradigm.

We have grown from a handful of dedicated consumers and growers to a complete community alternative.

Mana Food is a proud Independent Grocer with half of our inventory coming from local sources.

Meet the Founders

-CREATED WITH LOVE IN 2018

So much gratitude to Sotontar and Paramroop for starting Mana Foods 8 years ago. This is a landmark in Carbondale and a hub for our community.
Here’s to many more years of gathering with community to feed, meditate, and bring joy to the Roaring Fork Valley.

The agricultural history of Mana Food

“I began farming in the Roaring Fork Valley in 1998. I created the first Carbondale Farmers Market, was 1 of 5 farmers on the first board of Aspen Farmers Market, created Carbondale Food Coop, and eventually culminated with Mana Foods.

I have been involved in a 28 year food movement in this community and have seen a tremendous shift and support for local, sustainable agriculture.”

-Sotantar

From Seed to Store

In 2018 our non-profit, Adi Shakti Ashram, carried forward the legacy of Carbondale’s Food Coop, opening Mana Foods as a small organic market with just 10 local vendors.

Our mission was simple: connect our community to as much local food as possible, while demonstrating a more balanced approach to food distribution and health.

In eight years, we’ve tripled our space and grown to showcase over 70 local farmers and artisans—each one reflecting the abundance and integrity of the Roaring Fork Valley.

Come Raise The Frequency With Us

Adi Shakti Ashram is a creative force in the community providing Sattvic lifestyle principles, Gurmukh Yoga teachings, and Healthy local Food.

For ten years we have gathered as a community to perform Equinox readings where community members come together for this 64 hour mantra reading, vibrating the sacred sounds of Gurmukh as a prayer of health, gratitude and protection for the Roaring Fork Valley.
